The 8th Annual Jerry Reed Celebration - 2019
A handful of Nashville’s finest musicians get together to celebrate the life and music of their hero, Jerry Reed. Joining us this year will be Jonell Mosser, Lee Roy Parnell, and John Schneider. We usually have a surprise or two as well!
This tradition began ten years ago, two weeks after Jerry’s passing. World class guitarist, Richard Smith, brought together 21 guitar players at a local club in Nashville. He felt that they needed an opportunity to mourn such a huge loss and celebrate his life. They spent hours playing Jerry’s music, sharing stories, and laughing. They enjoyed it so much that it became an annual event.
Country Music Hall of Famer, Jerry Reed, was a unique human being and a one of a kind entertainer. He was a great singer, songwriter, producer and actor. His guitar playing is legendary and an inspiration to guitarists all over the world. His instrumental compositions will be studied and emulated for generations to come.
